This walking tour is a great combination of city sightseeing and food tasting! You will learn to distinguish the real Pizza Margherita, the authentic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the genuine Buffalo Mozzarella and many other traditional Italian specialties that have so many counterfeits in the world.
Our guide is not only a food expert but also a knowledgeable art historian and will take you to the back alleys of Rome to explore the local neightboroughs, the little delis, and many hidden gems away from the beaten tracks.
You will visit the Jewish Ghetto, including the Portico of Octavia, the Sinagogue, the Theatre of Marcellus and its food specialties; fired zucchini flowers and artichokes.
We will stop in Campo de’ Fiori with its thriving fruits and vegetable market in the morning and crowded bakeries and wine shops in the evening. You will learn more about the Farnese Palace that is the French embassy today designed in the XVI century by Michelangelo.
Our walk will also take you to the exact spot where Caesar was assassinated, you will see the ruins of the Theatre of Pompey, you will taste the best coffee and gelato in town and much more great surprises.
